Quilters are generous people and donate their time, talents and supplies to support many community organizations.
Charity Quilts
Quilts are generously made and donated to community non-profit groups. The groups supported by the Common Threads Quilt Guild are:
Lutherwood Residental Treatment Facility which is a nonprofit residential treatment center for children between the ages of 6 and 21.
Community South
Donation Quilt
Each year a quilt is made and offered at raffle with the proceeds going to a community organization. Common Threads Quilt Guild has supported Women Helping Women. This organizations helps to pay for life saving medical preventive care services that could not be afforded by non-insured women.
Veteran’s Quilts
Every November quilt guild meeting is a special event. Quilts are presented to area veterans to honor and thank them for their service.
